The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that retaliation applies in the case of a tooth, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Book of Allah prescribes retaliation."
أخبرنا إسحق بن إبراهيم قال أنبأنا أبو خالد سليمان بن حيان قال حدثنا حميد
أن رسول الله ﷺ قضى بالقصاص في السن وقال رسول الله ﷺ كتاب الله القصاص
[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. It is found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 6954, and Bukhari narrated it, as will come, hadith no. 4761, and the hadith has many routes of transmission.
