The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out at midday, Ibn al-Muthanna said, to al-Batha. He performed ablution and prayed Zuhr as two units and Asr as two units, with an Anazah placed in front of him.
أخبرنا محمد بن المثنى ومحمد بن بشار قالا حدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة عن الحكم بن عتيبة قال سمعت
خرج رسول الله ﷺ بالهاجرة قال ابن المثنى إلى البطحاء فتوضأ وصلى الظهر ركعتين والعصر ركعتين وبين يديه عنزة
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on the barrier of the one praying, and Muhammad bin Bashshar, and Bukhari in the Book of Wudu, Chapter on using the leftover wudu water of people, hadith no. 187, and others, from the hadith of Shubah, with this chain, and it is in Kubra, hadith no. 343.
