I prayed Dhuhr with the Prophet ﷺ in Madinah as four units, and Asr at Dhul-Hulayfah as two units.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا سفيان عن ابن المنكدر وإبراهيم بن ميسرة سمعا
صليت مع النبي ﷺ الظهر بالمدينة أربعا وبذي الحليفة العصر ركعتين
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on the prayer of travelers, in the section titled "The prayer of travelers and shortening it," Hadith 690, through the report of Sufyan bin Uyayna. Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on shortening the prayer, in the section titled "One shortens the prayer when he leaves his place," Hadith 1089, through the report of Ibn Munkadir and Ibrahim, both similarly. It is also found in Kubra, Hadith 342.
