Maymunah used to take on debts and accumulate them in great amounts. Her family spoke to her about it, blamed her, and were displeased with her over it. She replied, "I will not give up taking on debt, for I heard my dear friend and beloved ﷺ say, 'No one takes on a debt that Allah knows he intends to repay except that Allah settles it for him in this world.'"

[Hasan] Ibn Majah narrated it in Sadaqat, chapter "One who takes a debt intending to repay it," no. 2408, from the hadith of Mansur bin Mutamir with this wording. It is also in Kubra, no. 6285, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1157.Imran was not vouched for by anyone except Ibn Hibban, but the hadith has corroborating narrations.
