Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

A man from the tribe of Banu Udhrah freed a slave of his by tadbeer, meaning the slave would become free upon his master's death. News of this reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who asked him, "Do you have any wealth besides him?"The man replied, "No."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who will buy him from me?"Naeem bin Abdullah al-Adawi bought him for eight hundred dirhams. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ brought the money and handed it over to him, then said, "Begin with yourself and spend it on your own needs. If anything is left over, then on your family. If anything is left over from your family, then on your relatives. If anything is left over from your relatives, then like this, and like this, and like this," gesturing in front of him, to his right, and to his left.
