The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away while his armor was pawned with a Jew for thirty measures of barley taken for his family.
أخبرنا يوسف بن حماد قال حدثنا سفيان بن حبيب عن هشام عن عكرمة
توفي رسول الله ﷺ ودرعه مرهونة عند يهودي بثلاثين صاعا من شعير لأهله
[Hasan] Reported by Tirmidhi, Book of Business Transactions, Chapter on the concession regarding buying on credit, no. 1214, from the hadith of Hisham bin Hassan with this chain, and he said, hasan sahih. It is also found in Al-Kubra, no. 6247, and the hadith has corroborating narrations.
