The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A town-dweller must not sell on behalf of a desert-dweller. Leave people alone, for Allah provides for some of them through others."
أخبرنا إبراهيم بن الحسن قال حدثنا حجاج قال قال ابن جريج أخبرني أبو الزبير أنه سمع
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يبيع حاضر لباد دعوا الناس يرزق الله بعضهم من بعض
Muslim reported it in the Book of Sales, in the chapter on the prohibition of a city dweller selling for a Bedouin, hadith no. 1522, from the hadith of Abu Zubayr through this route, and it is also found in Sunan al-Kubra, hadith no. 6086.
