We were forbidden for a town-dweller to sell on behalf of a desert-dweller.
أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى قال حدثنا خالد قال حدثنا ابن عون عن محمد
نهينا أن يبيع حاضر لباد
Bukhari transmitted it as above, and Muslim, hadith no. 2/1523 (see the previous hadith), from the hadith of Abdullah bin Awn, with this wording. It is also in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 6085. Muhammad is Ibn Sirin.
