The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The buyer and seller each have the right to cancel the transaction so long as they have not parted. If they are truthful and disclose any defects, their sale will be blessed. But if they lie and conceal, the blessing of their sale will be wiped out."
أخبرنا عمرو بن علي عن يحيى قال حدثنا شعبة قال حدثني قتادة عن أبي الخليل عن عبد الله بن الحارث
قال رسول الله ﷺ البيعان بالخيار ما لم يفترقا فإن صدقا وبينا بورك في بيعهما وإن كذبا وكتما محق بركة بيعهما
Reported by Muslim in the Book of Sales, Chapter on Honesty and Clarity in Selling, hadith no. 1532, from Amr bin Ali Fallas, and by Bukhari, in the Book of Sales, Chapter on When the Two Parties to a Sale Have Made Things Clear and Not Concealed Anything and Have Been Sincere, hadith no. 2079, through the hadith of Shubah with this wording, and it is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 6049.Yahya is Qattan.
