Rafi reported,

I said, "Messenger of Allah, we will be meeting the enemy tomorrow and we have no knives with us."He said, "Whatever causes blood to flow, and over which the name of Allah has been mentioned, you may eat, so long as the slaughter was not done with a tooth or a nail."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then obtained some spoils, and a camel bolted away. A man shot it with an arrow and brought it to a halt. The Prophet said, "Some of these animals," or he said, "these camels, become wild like wild beasts, so whichever of them gets away from you, do to it as this man did."

أخبرنا إسمعيل بن مسعود قال حدثنا خالد عن شعبة عن سعيد بن مسروق عن عباية بن رافع

عن رافع قال

قلت يا رسول الله إنا لاقو العدو غدا وليس معنا مدى قال ما أنهر الدم وذكر اسم الله عز وجل فكل ما خلا السن والظفر قال فأصاب رسول الله ﷺ نهبا فند بعير فرماه رجل بسهم فحبسه فقال إن لهذه النعم أو قال الإبل أوابد كأوابد الوحش فما غلبكم منها فافعلوا به هكذا
