We slaughtered a horse during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ate it.
أخبرنا عيسى بن أحمد العسقلاني عسقلان بلخ قال حدثنا ابن وهب قال حدثني سفيان عن هشام بن عروة حدثه عن فاطمة بنت المنذر
نحرنا فرسا على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فأكلناه
Bukhari narrated it in "Sacrifices and Hunting," chapter on slaughtering the throat and the chest, hadith 5510, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, and Muslim, in "Hunting and Sacrifices," chapter on the permissibility of eating horse meat, hadith 1942, from the hadith of Hisham, through the same chain, and it is in Kubra, hadith 4495.
