A physician mentioned using a frog in a medicine in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade killing it.

أن طبيبا ذكر ضفدعا في دواء عند رسول الله ﷺ فنهى رسول الله ﷺ عن قتله

[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Medicine, Chapter on Disliked Medicines, no. 3871, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Dhib through this route. It is also found in al-Kubra, no. 4867. Hakim graded it sahih (4/411), and Dhahabi concurred with him.
