On the day of Khaybar we ate the meat of horses and wild game, and the Prophet ﷺ forbade us from eating donkey meat.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا المفضل هو ابن فضالة عن ابن جريج عن أبي الزبير
أكلنا يوم خيبر لحوم الخيل والوحش ونهانا النبي ﷺ عن الحمار
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals, Chapter on the Permissibility of Eating Horse Meat, hadith no. 37/1941, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj, and it is in Kubra, hadith no. 4855.
