The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Plundered property is not lawful, nor is any predatory animal with fangs, nor is an animal tied up and used as a target for shooting."
أخبرنا عمرو بن عثمان قال حدثنا بقية عن بحير عن خالد عن جبير بن نفير
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تحل النهبى ولا يحل من السباع كل ذي ناب ولا تحل المجثمة
Sourcing, sahih. Ahmad reported it, 4/194, from the hadith of Buqayyah with it at length, and it is in Kubra, no. 4836, and it comes up, nos. 4348, 4443. The hadith has many corroborating narrations, see the hadith that follows, no. 4453. Buhayr is Ibn Saad, and Khalid is Ibn Madan.
