The Prophet ﷺ said, "The price of a dog is not lawful, nor the fee of a fortune-teller, nor the earnings of a prostitute."
أخبرنا يونس بن عبد الأعلى قال حدثنا ابن وهب قال أنبأنا معروف بن سويد الجذامي أن علي بن رباح اللخمي حدثه أنه سمع
قال النبي ﷺ لا يحل ثمن الكلب ولا حلوان الكاهن ولا مهر البغي
[Its chain of transmission is hasan]. It was narrated by Abu Dawud in the Book of Sales, Chapter on the Prices of Dogs, hadith no. 3484, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, through him, and it is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 4804.
