I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as part of a delegation, each of us seeking some need. I was the last of them to enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.I said, "Messenger of Allah, I left people behind me who claim that hijrah has come to an end."He replied, "Hijrah will not come to an end as long as the disbelievers are being fought."
أخبرنا عيسى بن مساور قال حدثنا الوليد عن عبد الله بن العلاء بن زبر عن بسر بن عبيد الله عن أبي إدريس الخولاني
وفدت إلى رسول الله ﷺ في وفد كلنا يطلب حاجة وكنت آخرهم دخولا على رسول الله ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله إني تركت من خلفي وهم يزعمون أن الهجرة قد انقطعت قال لا تنقطع الهجرة ما قوتل الكفار

Sourcing, [sahih] Tahawi narrated it in Mushkil Athar 3/258 from the hadith of Walid bin Muslim through this route, where he explicitly stated that he heard it directly, and it is found in Kubra, no. 7795.
