I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "In the last days, a people will emerge who are young in age and foolish in mind. They will speak the finest words ever uttered by humankind, yet their faith will not pass beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion as an arrow passes through its target. Whenever you encounter them, kill them, for killing them will bring a reward on the Day of Resurrection to whoever kills them."
أخبرنا محمد بن بشار قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن قال حدثنا سفيان عن الأعمش عن خيثمة عن سويد بن غفلة
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول يخرج قوم في آخر الزمان أحداث الأسنان سفهاء الأحلام يقولون من خير قول البرية لا يجاوز إيمانهم حناجرهم يمرقون من الدين كما يمرق السهم من الرمية فإذا لقيتموهم فاقتلوهم فإن قتلهم أجر لمن قتلهم يوم القيامة
Muslim narrated it, Zakat, chapter on urging the killing of the Khawarij, no. 1066, from the hadith of Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi. Bukhari narrated it, Merits, chapter on the signs of prophethood in Islam, no. 3611, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with the same wording, and it is in Al-Kubra, no. 3565.
