There was a blind man during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who had a slave woman who had borne him two sons. She used to frequently insult and curse the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He would rebuke her, but she would not stop, and he would forbid her, but she would not desist. One night, she mentioned the Prophet ﷺ and insulted him. I could not bear it, so I got up and took a dagger, placed it on her belly, and pressed down on it until I killed her. By morning, she lay dead. This was reported to the Prophet ﷺ, who gathered the people and said, "I adjure by Allah any man who did this deed, and to whom I have a right of obedience, to stand up."The blind man came forward, stumbling, and said, "Messenger of Allah, I am the one. She was the mother of my children, and she was kind and gentle with me. I had two sons by her, like two pearls. But she used to frequently insult you and curse you. I would forbid her, but she would not stop, and I would rebuke her, but she would not desist. Last night, she mentioned you and insulted you, so I took a dagger, placed it on her belly, and pressed down on her until I killed her."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Bear witness that her blood is unavenged."
