The Prophet ﷺ said, "The major sins are associating partners with Allah, disobedience to parents, taking a life, and the false oath taken to swindle property."
أخبرني عبدة بن عبد الرحيم قال أنبأنا ابن شميل قال أنبأنا شعبة قال حدثنا فراس قال سمعت الشعبي
عن النبي ﷺ قال الكبائر الإشراك بالله وعقوق الوالدين وقتل النفس واليمين الغموس
Bukhari transmitted it in Kitab al-Ayman wal-Nudhur, chapter on the false oath (yamin ghamus), "and do not take your oaths as a means of deceit," etc., hadith no. 6675, from the hadith of Shubah through the same chain, and it is also in Kubra, hadith no. 3474.
