He met him, and Rafi said that the Prophet ﷺ came to the tribe of Banu Haritha and saw a crop. He said, "How fine is Zaheer's crop!"They said, "It does not belong to Zaheer."He asked, "Is it not Zaheer's land?"They replied, "Yes, but he leased it out for cultivation."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take back your crop and return to him his expenses."He said, "So we took back our crop and returned to him his expenses."It was also narrated by Tariq bin Abdul-Rahman from Saeed, with differing chains reported from him.
أخبرنا محمد بن المثنى قال حدثنا يحيى عن أبي جعفر الخطمي واسمه عمير بن يزيد قال أرسلني عمي وغلاما له إلى سعيد بن المسيب أسأله عن المزارعة فقال كان ابن عمر لا يرى بها بأسا حتى بلغه
حديث فلقيه فقال رافع أتى النبي ﷺ بني حارثة فرأى زرعا فقال ما أحسن زرع ظهير فقالوا ليس لظهير فقال أليس أرض ظهير قالوا بلى ولكنه أزرعها فقال رسول الله ﷺ خذوا زرعكم وردوا إليه نفقته قال فأخذنا زرعنا ورددنا إليه نفقته ورواه طارق بن عبد الرحمن عن سعيد واختلف عليه فيه
