The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade anyone from cleaning himself after relieving nature with a bone or with dung.

Sahih. Tahawi also transmitted it in Maani Athar 1/123 from the hadith of Ibn Wahb by the same route, and it is in Kubra. It was also graded sahih by Dhahabi in Talkhis Mustadrak 2/502, 504. Zuhri explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as found with Abu Naeem in Dalail Nubuwwah 2/129, 130, and Abu Uthman is hasan al-hadith. See Isabah 4/149 and elsewhere.
