[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Business Transactions, chapter on a man giving preference to some of his children, hadith no. 3544, from the hadith of Sulayman bin Harb, in this wording. Its basic content is agreed upon by Bukhari and Muslim, and it appears in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 6514.
