The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon and said, "Allah has given every rightful person their due, so there is no bequest for an heir."
أخبرنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا أبو عوانة عن قتادة عن شهر بن حوشب عن عبد الرحمن بن غنم
خطب رسول الله ﷺ فقال إن الله قد أعطى كل ذي حق حقه ولا وصية لوارث
[Hasan] Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Wasaya, chapter "There is no bequest for an heir," hadith no. 2121, from Qutayba with this wording, and he said, hasan sahih. It is also in the Kubra, hadith no. 6468, though its chain is daif. The hadith has a corroborating witness in Abu Dawud, hadith no. 3565, and it is hasan according to it.
