A Jewish man was owed dates by my father, who was killed on the day of Uhud leaving behind two gardens. The dates owed to the Jewish man would consume everything in both gardens.The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Would you take half this year and defer the other half?"But the Jewish man refused.The Prophet ﷺ then said, "When the harvest comes, let me know."So I informed him, and he came along with Abu Bakr. The dates were being picked and measured out at the base of the palm trees while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was invoking blessings, until we paid him his full due from the smaller of the two gardens, according to what Ammar reckoned.Then I brought them fresh dates and water, and they ate and drank. Then he said, "This is among the blessings you will be questioned about."
أخبرنا إبراهيم بن يونس بن محمد حرمي قال حدثنا أبي قال حدثنا حماد عن عمار بن أبي عمار
كان ليهودي على أبي تمر فقتل يوم أحد وترك حديقتين وتمر اليهودي يستوعب ما في الحديقتين فقال النبي ﷺ هل لك أن تأخذ العام نصفه وتؤخر نصفه فأبى اليهودي فقال النبي ﷺ هل لك أن تأخذ الجداد فآذني فآذنته فجاء هو وأبو بكر فجعل يجد ويكال من أسفل النخل ورسول الله ﷺ يدعو بالبركة حتى وفيناه جميع حقه من أصغر الحديقتين فيما يحسب عمار ثم أتيتهم برطب وماء فأكلوا وشربوا ثم قال هذا من النعيم الذي تسألون عنه
