Saad bin Abi Waqqas reported that the Prophet ﷺ visited him during his illness.Saad asked, "Messenger of Allah, shall I bequeath all of my wealth?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "No."Saad asked, "Then half?"He replied, "No."Saad asked, "Then a third?"He said, "A third, and a third is much," or "a third is plenty."
أخبرنا إسحق بن إبراهيم قال حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
أن النبي ﷺ عاده في مرضه فقال يا رسول الله أوصي بمالي كله قال لا قال فالشطر قال لا قال فالثلث قال الثلث والثلث كثير أو كبير
