Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh experienced prolonged non-menstrual bleeding, so she asked the Prophet ﷺ about it.She said, "Messenger of Allah, I bleed continuously and never become pure. Should I abandon the prayer?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "That is only a vein, not menstruation. When your menstruation begins, leave off the prayer, and when it ends, wash the blood from yourself, perform ablution, and pray, for it is only a vein and not menstruation."Someone asked him, "What about the full bath?"He said, "That is something no one doubts."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, more than one narrator has reported this hadith from Hisham bin Urwa, but none mentioned the phrase "and perform ablution" except Hammad. And Allah the Exalted knows best.
أخبرنا يحيى بن حبيب بن عربي عن حماد عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
استحيضت فاطمة بنت أبي حبيش فسألت النبي ﷺ فقالت يا رسول الله إني أستحاض فلا أطهر أفأدع الصلاة قال رسول الله ﷺ إنما ذلك عرق وليست بالحيضة فإذا أقبلت الحيضة فدعي الصلاة وإذا أدبرت فاغسلي عنك الدم وتوضئي وصلي فإنما ذلك عرق وليست بالحيضة قيل له فالغسل قال وذلك لا يشك فيه أحد قال أبو عبد الرحمن قد روى هذا الحديث غير واحد عن هشام بن عروة ولم يذكر فيه وتوضئي غير حماد والله تعالى أعلم
