The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for any deceased person more than three days, except for a husband. She must not apply kohl, dye her hands, or wear dyed clothing."
أخبرنا محمد بن منصور قال حدثنا سفيان قال حدثنا عاصم عن حفصة
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا يحل لامرأة تؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر أن تحد على ميت فوق ثلاث إلا على زوج ولا تكتحل ولا تختضب ولا تلبس ثوبا مصبوغا
Bukhari narrated it, no: 313, 5341, 5342, 5343, and Muslim, no: 938, from the hadith of Hafsa bint Sirin through this route, and it is in Al-Kubra, no: 5730.
