Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ having pronounced the zihar oath against his wife, then had relations with her. He said, "Messenger of Allah, I declared zihar against my wife, then I had relations with her before making expiation."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What led you to do that, may Allah have mercy on you?"He replied, "I caught sight of her anklet in the moonlight."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not go near her until you do what Allah has commanded."

عن ابن عباس

أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ قد ظاهر من امرأته فوقع عليها فقال يا رسول الله إني ظاهرت من امرأتي فوقعت قبل أن أكفر قال وما حملك على ذلك يرحمك الله قال رأيت خلخالها في ضوء القمر فقال لا تقربها حتى تفعل ما أمر الله عز وجل
