Ayesha had a male slave and a female slave. She said, "I wanted to free them both, so I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."He said, "Begin with the male slave before the female slave."

[Its isnad is hasan] Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Manumission, Chapter: One who wants to free a man and his wife should start with the man, hadith no. 3532, from the hadith of Hammad bin Masada, with this wording, and it is also in al-Kubra, hadith no. 5639.Ubaydullah bin Abdul-Rahman bin Mawhab was deemed reliable by the majority, and Ibn Adi said, "His hadith is hasan, his hadith is to be recorded."
