The wife of Rifa Qurazi came to the Prophet ﷺ while Abu Bakr was with him. She said, "Messenger of Allah, I was married to Rifa Qurazi, and he divorced me irrevocably. Then I married Abdul-Rahman bin Zubayr, but by Allah, Messenger of Allah, all he has is like this fringe," and she took hold of a fringe from her garment.Khalid bin Saeed was at the door, not having been granted permission to enter, and he called out, "Abu Bakr, do you not hear this woman speaking openly of such matters in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you wish to return to Rifa? No, not until you taste his sweetness and he tastes yours."
أخبرنا عمرو بن علي قال حدثنا يزيد بن زريع قال حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن عروة
جاءت امرأة رفاعة القرظي إلى النبي ﷺ وأبو بكر عنده فقالت يا رسول الله إني كنت تحت رفاعة القرظي فطلقني البتة فتزوجت عبد الرحمن بن الزبير وإنه والله يا رسول الله ما معه إلا مثل هذه الهدبة وأخذت هدبة من جلبابها وخالد بن سعيد بالباب فلم يأذن له فقال يا أبا بكر ألا تسمع هذه تجهر بما تجهر به عند رسول الله ﷺ فقال تريدين أن ترجعي إلى رفاعة لا حتى تذوقي عسيلته ويذوق عسيلتك
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Manners, chapter of smiling and laughing, hadith no. 6084, and Muslim in the Book of Marriage, etc., hadith no. 113/1433, in the chapter that a woman divorced with an irrevocable triple divorce is not lawful for her former husband until she marries another man who consummates the marriage with her, through the hadith of Muamar bin Rashid, by this route. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 5602.
