I have never seen anyone who prepared food like Safiyyah. She once sent a vessel containing food to the Prophet ﷺ, and I could not restrain myself from breaking it. So I asked the Prophet ﷺ what its expiation was, and he said, "A vessel for a vessel, and food for food."
أخبرنا محمد بن المثنى عن عبد الرحمن عن سفيان عن فليت عن جسرة بنت دجاجة
ما رأيت صانعة طعام مثل صفية أهدت إلى النبي ﷺ إناء فيه طعام فما ملكت نفسي أن كسرته فسألت النبي ﷺ عن كفارته فقال إناء كإناء وطعام كطعام
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Reported by Abu Dawud, Book of Sales, Chapter on One Who Damages Something Must Compensate for Its Equivalent, no. 3568, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, in which he explicitly stated the transmission was by direct hearing.
