Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got married and consummated the marriage with his wife. My mother, Umm Sulaym, prepared a dish of hays. I took it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "My mother sends you her greetings and says that this is a small gift to you from us."He said, "Set it down."Then he said, "Go and invite so-and-so and so-and-so, and whomever you meet." He named some men.So I invited those he had named and whomever I met along the way.I asked Anas, "How many were they?"He replied, "Around three hundred."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let them sit in circles of ten, and let each person eat from what is in front of him."They ate until they were full. One group would leave, then another would come in. He said to me, "Anas, take it away."So I took it away, and I do not know whether there was more food when I took it away or when I had set it down.

أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا جعفر وهو ابن سليمان عن الجعد أبي عثمان

عن أنس بن مالك قال

تزوج رسول الله ﷺ فدخل بأهله قال وصنعت أمي أم سليم حيسا قال فذهبت به إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقلت إن أمي تقرئك السلام وتقول لك إن هذا لك منا قليل قال ضعه ثم قال اذهب فادع فلانا وفلانا ومن لقيت وسمى رجالا فدعوت من سمى ومن لقيته قلت لأنس عدة كم كانوا قال يعني زهاء ثلاث مائة فقال رسول الله ﷺ ليتحلق عشرة عشرة فليأكل كل إنسان مما يليه فأكلوا حتى شبعوا فخرجت طائفة ودخلت طائفة قال لي يا أنس ارفع فرفعت فما أدري حين رفعت كان أكثر أم حين وضعت
