The Messenger of Allah ﷺ freed Safiyyah and made her freedom her dowry. The wording is that of Muhammad.
أخبرنا محمد بن رافع قال حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال حدثنا سفيان ح وأنبأنا عمرو بن منصور قال حدثنا أبو نعيم قال حدثنا سفيان عن يونس عن ابن الحبحاب
أعتق رسول الله ﷺ صفية وجعل عتقها مهرها واللفظ لمحمد
Muslim narrated it, no. 85/1365, from Muhammad bin Rafi through the same route (see the previous hadith), and it is also in Kubra, no. 5500. Sufyan is Thawri, and Yunus is Ibn Ubayd.
