The rest of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ refused to allow anyone to enter upon them through such a nursing arrangement, in which an adult would be suckled. They said to Ayesha, "By Allah, we consider that what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded Sahlah bint Suhayl to do was only a special concession from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding the nursing of Salim alone. By Allah, no one shall enter upon us through this kind of nursing, nor shall anyone see us by means of it."
