Sahl bin Saad reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A morning's journey or an evening's journey in the cause of Allah 
is better than the world and everything in it."

ReferenceBukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad, chapter "Going out in the morning and evening in the path of Allah, and the space of a bow's length of one of you in Paradise," hadith no. 2794, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Leadership, chapter "The merit of going out in the morning and evening in the path of Allah," hadith no. 114/1881, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with the same wording. It is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 4326.
