I performed the pilgrimage during the Prophet's ﷺ Hajj. I saw Bilal leading his mount by its reins while Usama bin Zayd held a garment above him, shading him from the heat, as he was in the state of ihram, until he threw the pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba. Then he addressed the people, praised Allah and extolled Him, and spoke at length.
أخبرني عمرو بن هشام قال حدثنا محمد بن سلمة عن أبي عبد الرحيم عن زيد بن أبي أنيسة عن يحيى بن الحصين
حججت في حجة النبي ﷺ فرأيت بلالا يقود بخطام راحلته وأسامة بن زيد رافع عليه ثوبه يظله من الحر وهو محرم حتى رمى جمرة العقبة ثم خطب الناس فحمد الله وأثنى عليه وذكر قولا كثيرا
