I lost a camel of mine and went searching for it at Arafah on the Day of Arafah. There I saw the Prophet ﷺ standing in wuquf, so I said, "What is the matter with this man? He is from the Hums."
أخبرنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا سفيان عن عمرو بن دينار
أضللت بعيرا لي فذهبت أطلبه بعرفة يوم عرفة فرأيت النبي ﷺ واقفا فقلت ما شأن هذا إنما هذا من الحمس
Bukhari narrated it in Hajj, the chapter on standing at Arafah, h: 1664, and Muslim in Hajj, the chapter on standing and His statement, Most High, "Then depart..." etc, h: 1220, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this wording. It is also in Kubra, h: 4009.
