Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to Safa and climbed upon it until the House came into his view. He then declared the oneness of Allah and proclaimed His greatness, saying, "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He has power over all things."Then he walked until his feet descended into the valley, at which point he ran. When his feet ascended again, he resumed walking until he reached Marwa, where he did upon it as he had done upon Safa, until he completed his circuit.

أخبرنا علي بن حجر قال حدثنا إسمعيل قال أنبأنا جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه

أن رسول الله ﷺ ذهب إلى الصفا فرقي عليها حتى بدا له البيت ثم وحد الله عز وجل وكبر وقال لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد يحيي ويميت وهو على كل شيء قدير ثم مشى حتى إذا انصبت قدماه سعى حتى إذا صعدت قدماه مشى حتى أتى المروة ففعل عليها كما فعل على الصفا حتى قضى طوافه
