The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed seven circuits of tawaf, jogging during the first three and walking during the remaining four. Then he recited, "And take from the station of Ibrahim a place of prayer" [Baqarah 2:125], and prayed two units of prayer, placing the Station between himself and the Kaabah. Then he touched the corner and went out, saying, "Indeed, Safa and Marwa are among the symbols of Allah" [Baqarah 2:158]. "So begin with what Allah began with."
أخبرنا علي بن حجر قال حدثنا إسمعيل قال حدثنا جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ طاف سبعا رمل ثلاثا ومشى أربعا ثم قرأ {واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى} فصلى سجدتين وجعل المقام بينه وبين الكعبة ثم استلم الركن ثم خرج فقال {إن الصفا والمروة من شعائر الله} فابدءوا بما بدأ الله به
