I have never failed to perform Istilam Hajar, in ease or in hardship, since I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing it.
أخبرنا عمران بن موسى قال حدثنا عبد الوارث قال حدثنا أيوب عن نافع
ما تركت استلام الحجر في رخاء ولا شدة منذ رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يستلمه
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Ahmad narrated it, 2/33, 40, from the hadith of Ayub Sakhtiyani through this same chain, and it is in al-Kubra, hadith no. 3917.
