When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Makkah, he would touch the Black Corner at the start of his circumambulation, then jog through three of the seven rounds.
أخبرنا أحمد بن عمرو وسليمان بن داود عن ابن وهب قال أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب
كان رسول الله ﷺ حين يقدم مكة يستلم الركن الأسود أول ما يطوف يخب ثلاثة أطواف من السبع
Muslim, hadith 232/1261, related it from Ahmad bin Amr bin Sarh (see the two preceding hadiths), and Bukhari related it in the Book of Hajj, chapter on touching the Black Stone upon arriving in Makkah, through the hadith of Ibn Wahb, with the same wording. It is also found in Kubra, hadith 3939.
