He combined Hajj and Umra and made a single tawaf, saying, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it."
أخبرنا محمد بن منصور قال حدثنا سفيان عن أيوب بن موسى عن نافع
قرن الحج والعمرة فطاف طوافا واحدا وقال هكذا رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يفعله
Graded sahih. Ahmad narrated it: 2/11, from Sufyan bin Uyayna, at length, and he stated clearly that he heard it directly. It is also in Al-Kubra, hadith 3913. See the hadith that follows.
