Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of the conquest of Mecca, "This land is sacred. Allah made it sacred. Fighting in it was never permitted to anyone before me, and it was permitted to me only for an hour of one day. So it remains sacred by the sanctity Allah gave it."

أخبرنا محمد بن رافع قال حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال حدثنا مفضل عن منصور عن مجاهد عن طاوس

عن ابن عباس قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ يوم فتح مكة إن هذا البلد حرام حرمه الله عز وجل لم يحل فيه القتال لأحد قبلي وأحل لي ساعة من نهار فهو حرام بحرمة الله عز وجل
