The Prophet ﷺ arrived in Mecca on the morning of the fourth day of Dhu al-Hijjah.
أخبرنا عمران بن يزيد قال أنبأنا شعيب عن ابن جريج قال عطاء
قدم النبي ﷺ مكة صبيحة رابعة مضت من ذي الحجة
Bukhari narrated it in "The Partnership," chapter "Sharing in a Sacrificial Animal and Camel," etc., no. 2505, and Muslim in "Hajj," chapter "Explanation of the Forms of Ihram, and That It Is Permissible to Perform Hajj Alone, or Combined with Umrah, or as Tamattu, or as Qiran," etc., no. 1216/141, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj through this chain, and it is in Kubra, no. 3855.
