The Prophet ﷺ left al-Jiranah by night, walking out to perform umrah, then returned to al-Jiranah by morning as though he had spent the night there. When the sun passed its zenith, he set out from al-Jiranah through the valley of Sarif until he joined the road of Madinah from Sarif.
أخبرني عمران بن يزيد عن شعيب قال حدثنا ابن جريج قال أخبرني مزاحم بن أبي مزاحم عن عبد العزيز بن عبد الله
أن النبي ﷺ خرج ليلا من الجعرانة حين مشى معتمرا فأصبح بالجعرانة كبائت حتى إذا زالت الشمس خرج عن الجعرانة في بطن سرف حتى جامع الطريق طريق المدينة من سرف
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Tirmidhi transmitted it in the chapter of Hajj, in the section on Umrah from Jirana, hadith 935, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj with this wording, and he said, hasan gharib. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith 3846.
