Messenger of Allah, is this Umrah of ours just for this year, or forever?The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "It is forever."
أخبرنا محمد بن بشار قال حدثنا محمد قال حدثنا شعبة عن عبد الملك عن طاوس
يا رسول الله أرأيت عمرتنا هذه لعامنا أم لأبد قال رسول الله ﷺ هي لأبد
[Sahih] Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Hajj Rites, chapter on Tamattu by combining Umrah with Hajj, no. 2977, from the hadith of Abdul-Malik bin Maysara with this wording. It is also found in Kubra, no. 3788, from Tawus. Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari corroborated it, narrating from Suraqah with this wording. Tabarani also reported it in Kabir, 7/119, and its basis is found in Sahih Muslim, no. 2648. So the hadith is sahih.
