A man died, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Wash him with water and lote-tree leaves, shroud him in his own garments, and do not cover his face or head, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the talbiyah."
أخبرنا عبدة بن عبد الله الصفار قال حدثنا أبو داود يعني الحفري عن سفيان عن عمرو بن دينار عن سعيد بن جبير
مات رجل فقال النبي ﷺ اغسلوه بماء وسدر وكفنوه في ثيابه ولا تخمروا وجهه ورأسه فإنه يبعث يوم القيامة ملبيا
[Sahih] See the preceding hadith, and it is found in Sunan al-Kubra, no. 3694. Muslim also narrated it, no. 98/1206, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, and Bukhari, no. 1268, from the hadith of Amr bin Dinar, with it.
