The Prophet ﷺ, and Hannad said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he intended to enter the state of ihram, would anoint himself with the finest perfume he could find, until I would see its sheen on his head and beard.Israil followed him in this wording and reported it from Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad, from his father, from Ayesha.
أخبرنا قتيبة وهناد بن السري عن أبي الأحوص عن أبي إسحق عن الأسود
كان النبي ﷺ وقال هناد كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا أراد أن يحرم ادهن بأطيب ما يجده حتى أرى وبيصه في رأسه ولحيته تابعه إسرائيل على هذا الكلام وقال عن عبد الرحمن بن الأسود عن أبيه عن عائشة
[Sahih] Ahmad reported it: 6/236, via Zakariya from Abu Ishaq Sabi, with this wording, and it is in Kubra, no. 3680. The hadith has very many chains of transmission.
