I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for his entry into ihram when he assumed it, and again for his coming out of ihram after he had stoned Jamrat al-Aqaba, before he performed the circumambulation of the House.
أخبرنا سعيد بن عبد الرحمن أبو عبيد الله المخزومي قال حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عروة
طيبت رسول الله ﷺ لحرمه حين أحرم ولحله بعد ما رمى جمرة العقبة قبل أن يطوف بالبيت
Muslim narrated it in the Hajj chapter, in the section on perfume for the one entering ihram, hadith no. 1189, from the hadith of Sufyan Ibn Uyayna, transmitted through him, and it is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 3667.
