I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entering ihram with his hair matted down.
أخبرنا أحمد بن عمرو بن السرح والحارث بن مسكين قراءة عليه وأنا أسمع واللفظ له عن ابن وهب أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يهل ملبدا

Bukhari transmitted it in the Hajj chapter, section titled "One who enters ihram with matted hair," hadith no. 1540, and Muslim in the Hajj chapter, section on the wording of the talbiyah, its form, and its timing, hadith no. 21/1184, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb through this chain, and it is in Kubra, hadith no. 3663.
